The brief asked for a home that respected the original 1820s proportions while working for a young, growing family. We opened the ground floor into a single sequence of spaces, replaced later partition walls, and rebuilt the kitchen and staircase around a shared oak material language.
Every original cornice and shutter was retained and restored; new elements were designed to sit quietly alongside them rather than compete.
